Clara Nebeling
Photographer Clara Nebeling has Portuguese roots but is originally from the countryside in Germany.
These days she spends her time between Berlin, London, and often the rest of the world. Her images go beyond the obvious, showing the good, the bad, and the ugly - documentaries that are as haunting as they are beautiful, merging lightness and darkness, sometimes quite literally.
Clara’s fashion images and portraits are serious yet she somehow manages to bring a playful note to all her photographs. With her keen eye she prefers to do her own casting, making a connection to her subjects a priority. With that she strikes an effortless balance between beauty and reality. Her worst nightmare? Trying to fit her in a box.
